**The Position**:
**Responsibilities Include**:

- Skills in assembly of equipment including Agitators and Peristaltic hose pumps including minor fabrication functions and understanding of machining process and functions.
- Any other general shop skills are a plus. For example, machining on a lathe and operating a milling machine.
- Experience in a machine shop environment.
- Safely moving parts and materials with the use of overhead cranes and forklift.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Comply with company safety and work policies.
- Collaborate with other team members to solve technical issues and maintain production schedule and quality.
- Read, interpret, and follow basic diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other instructions or procedures to accurately fabricate and assemble materials and equipment. Set up and operate fabricating machines, such as cold cutter, grinding and drill presses, cut, drill, or otherwise form and assemble metal components.
- Use multiple measuring devices such as scales, feeler gauges, rulers, micrometers, calipers tee square, machinist square and tape measure to perform work accurately and precisely.
- Fabricate, modify and/or install various metallic or non-metallic items and components.
- Perform metal corrections and touch-up painting as directed.
- Install and/or modify various metallic or non-metallic items and components.
- Comply with all safety, quality and work rules, guidelines, and regulations as required.
- Minimum 2 years working experience in a machine shop/manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to use measuring instruments and hand tools.
- Proficient communication skills
- Attention to detail and acceptance of responsibility and accountability.
- Confidence and ability to work independently and as a team member to support our goals and culture.
- Willingness to learn procedures and processes to support and maintain safety, product quality, and on-time deliver.
- General knowledge of electronics and test equipment
- Mechanical assembly
- Electronics assembly, soldering and wire crimping
- Computer skills including databases, spreadsheets
- Strong working knowledge of good safety practices. Know when to ask for help.
- Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a team to meet tight deadline
- Excellent attention to detail, manual dexterity, and hands-on skills

AFX Mixing and Pumping Technologies Inc is in Maple Ride, we are offering a 40-hour work week Monday to Friday 08:00 AM - 4:30 PM
