Core Lab at DynaLIFE consists of distinct testing areas for Chemistry, Hematology and Urinalysis. In our Core Lab department you will experience a high volume, well organized, efficient environment with strict quality control guidelines in place. The department relies heavily on team work to meet operational requirements.

**Major Functions and Responsibilities**
- Manual and automated urinalysis testing including microscopic urines analysis
- Other testing including pregnancy testing and FIT testing
- Sample preparation of H Pylori Stool Antigen testing
- Day to day operational responsibilities include sorting and preparing specimens for testing and storage, reagent preparation, equipment preventative maintenance, and other duties as assigned

**Required Skills**:

- Must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

Required Experience
- Experience within the past 12 months as a Medical Laboratory Assistant II in Urinalysis or student experience with training in Urinalysis within the last 12 months
- Experience with HPSAT sample preparation for testing on the Liaison is an asset
- Experience using the following instrumentation is an asset:

- Beckman Coulter IriCell
- OC Diana for FIT testing

**Minimum Qualifications**
- High School diploma
- Successful completion of a recognized Medical Laboratory Assistant training program that includes training in Urinalysis

**Other Information**:

- As workload demands and operational requirements shift, location, dates and/or hours of work may be changed
- Preference for this position will be given to bargaining unit members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the DynaLIFE/HSAA Collective Agreement
- All persons newly hired to _Dyna_**_LIFE_**_Dx_** must show their SIN card and government issued photo ID to Human Resources prior to commencing work.
- All persons hired to _Dyna_**_LIFE_**_Dx _**must be authorized to work in Canada for any employer.
- Individuals hired into all positions must provide verification of their highest level of education.
