**The Opportunity**:
The City of Red Deer is currently recruiting for a **HR Associate - Talent & Consulting** to fill a temporary full-time position. The Human Resources Associate is responsible in assisting with the delivery of recruitment, collective bargaining research, preparation of grievance and arbitration materials, corporate training and, assisting with departmental projects as required.
- Post-secondary degree in a related area (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered).
- 2 years’ Human Resources experience is desired.
- Experience in a unionized work environment would be an asset.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Integrity in maintaining confidential employee information
- Knowledge of legislation and regulations affecting Human Resources Management
- Aptitude to learn and contribute actively in an ever-changing work environment.
- Knowledge and skills in HR administration
- Ability to use a variety of computer software packages pertinent to human resource information
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple timelines effectively
- Ability to deal effectively and collaboratively with internal clients, the public, and other staff at all levels

**Affiliation**:
Exempt

**Remuneration**:
$34.62 to $43.27 per hour.

**Hours of Work**:
75 hours biweekly; Monday to Friday, some evening and weekend work may be required when needed.

**Additional Information**:
The term of this position is anticipated to end December 19, 2025.
