Human Resources Assistant

The **Human Resources (HR) Assistant** is responsible for providing administrative support to the HR department, assisting with employee records, recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and other HR-related tasks. The HR Assistant plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations and helping maintain a positive workplace culture.
**Key Responsibilities:1. Recruitment & Onboarding**
- Assist in posting job openings on job boards and company websites.
- Conduct initial phone screenings and coordinate interview logistics.
- Assist in preparing job offer letters and employment contracts.
- Facilitate new hire onboarding, including paperwork, orientation, and training sessions.
**2. Employee Records & HR Administration**
- Maintain and update employee records in HR databases.
- Assist in processing employee changes such as promotions, terminations, and transfers.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws by maintaining accurate documentation.
- Prepare reports on HR metrics, such as employee turnover and attendance.
- Assist with performance review documentation and scheduling.
**3. Payroll & Benefits Administration**
- Help process payroll changes, such as new hires, raises, and deductions.
- Support employees with benefits enrollment and answer benefits-related inquiries.
- Assist in coordinating leave requests (FMLA, PTO, sick leave).
- Maintain records of time-off requests and track attendance.
**4. Employee Relations & Compliance**
- Support HR initiatives to enhance workplace culture and employee engagement.
- Assist with conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and industry regulations.
**5. Training & Development**
- Help coordinate training programs and workshops for employees.
- Track employee training completion and maintain training records.
- Assist in developing and distributing employee handbooks and policy updates.
**Qualifications & Skills**:
- **Education**: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- **Experience**: 1-2 years of HR or administrative experience preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HR software.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
**Work Environment & Schedule**:
- Office setting, Monday-Friday, 8:45 AM - 5 PM (hours may vary).
- May require occasional overtime or travel for recruitment events or training sessions.

Pay: $44,748.49-$80,787.87 per year
