**Job Summary**
- The Faculty of Medicine inspires and enables excellence in health care through its medical education and research programs, and by serving and engaging society. Reporting jointly to the Assistant Dean, Distributed Education, and the Executive Director of Operations, the Manager, Distributed Education, is responsible for the operational management and administration of Dalhousie’s Faculty of Medicine distributed education initiatives.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensures the scheduling, logistics, and administration of Undergraduate Medical Education (UGME) and Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME) activities at distributed sites, including Longitudinal Integrated Clerkships (LIC)s, electives, and rotations, are properly resourced and supported. Conducts in-depth evaluations of potential new rural/regional sites, including infrastructure, faculty interest, and housing availability.
- Works with university, provincial, and health authority partners to secure sufficient clinical teaching resources. Assist in the recruitment, retention, and professional development of faculty at rural and regional sites.
- Supports UGME, PGME, and Continuing Professional Development & Medical Education (CPDME) accreditation activities, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and requirements.
- Meets regularly with staff and faculty at distributed sites to address, discuss, and advise on relevant items that impact educational delivery.
- Ensure efficient operation of the Distributed Education portfolio, including financial, IT, communications, reporting, and human resource management. Act as the unit’s liaison and primary contact with the Faculty’s and the University’s Financial Services, and Human Resources.
- Oversees the planning, administration, and evaluation of Rural Week, ensuring a positive experience for students and preceptors.

**Note**
- The successful applicant will primarily work remotely, with occasional presence in-person on-campus to meet client needs and operation requirements.

**Required Qualifications**
- Undergraduate degree in related field (eg. Education, Healthcare Administration) with five years’ experience in educational program management (or an equivalent combination of training and experience).
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and data management tools.
- Demonstrated leadership ability.

**Assets**
- Master’s degree.
- Experience working in a medical or healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical education principles and practice in a distributed environment.
