**POSITION PURPOSE**
- The Registration Assistant is responsible for registering students, responding to inquiries and carrying out back-office functions such as processing transcripts, document imaging and filing.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Customer Service**
- Serve at the registration counter.
- Register students in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide timely and accurate response to faculty/staff inquiries and requests regarding classes and registration
- Provide timely and accurate response to student inquiries related to course selection and registration.

**Registration Activities**
- Assist in processing transcript requests.
- Assist in processing letter requests.
- Assist in processing change of program, letter of permission and syllabi requests.
- Monitoring the waitlist for course registration.
- Monitoring the pending registration forms.

**Document Imaging**
- Assist in document imaging by scanning and importing documents.
- Coordinate shredding of confidential documents.
- Assist in filing and ordering office supplies.
- Assist in Convocation activities.
- Other duties as assigned by the Registrar or Senior Registration Officer.

**POSITION QUALIFICATIONS**

**a) Education**
- College diploma or equivalent

**b) Experience**
- 1-2 years of administrative experience
- Administrative experience in non-profit or educational institution

**c) Skills and Abilities**
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and perform tasks in an accurate, efficient and timely manner
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills
- Ability to problem-solve and handle customer problems and complaints in a professional manner

**d) Personal Characteristics**
- Ability to work effectively in both a team-based and self-directed environment
- Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment

**Salary**:
$37,500 - $39,000
