Our office in **St. Catharines**is looking for a **Field Technician Co-Op**to join the Contamination Assessment and Remediation group.

**Responsibilities**:

- Field work and oversight associated with environmental investigations, OM&M sites, and remediation activities will be required, and will likely include, construction oversight, drilling oversight, soil sampling, well installation, groundwater sampling, surface water sampling, investigative/remedial excavation oversight, sample management, etc. Gaining experience in the field will include the potential for travel within Ontario.
- Travel requirements (generally within Southern Ontario) however works may include locations in Northern and Eastern Ontario. Travel will require overnight stays for some projects. Estimated 80% of time outside the office in the field.
- Working with and providing support to other members of the group in assisting with other field, laboratory, and office activities as required
- Completing clear, neat, and accurate field notes
- Preparation of data tables, stratigraphic logs, scopes of work, and health and safety plans
- Adherence to GHD and client’s safety requirement including appropriate PPE

**Skills, Competencies and Qualifications**:

- Enrolled or recent graduate of an Earth Science, Environmental, or Civil Engineering Technology/Technician program or equivalent
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with clear and well written notes
- Experience with MS Office
- Valid driver's license (an MVR check will be performed prior to hire)
- Positive attitude, good communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and be highly communicative
