**Role and Responsibilities**:

- Operations manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of jobs and crews.
- Overseeing the scheduling and completion of work load.
- Overseeing and promoting a strong safety culture.
- Ensuring productivity goals are met.
- Demonstrate role model behaviors in ethics and integrity, promoting the company culture, particularly regarding safety, quality, and customer service.
- Manage a fast growing tree care operation to achieve annual financial objectives and position the organization for future growth.
- Understand tree care business economic drivers, financial statements, capital planning, and personnel development.
- Collaborate with crew foremen and the sales team to ensure crew safety and efficient work practices through ongoing training and supervision.
- Ensure proper job setups, equipment use, climbing practices, and crew communication.
- Recruit, hire, train, evaluate, and promote all crew members.
- Ensure crews have the proper equipment to perform their jobs safely and that equipment is properly maintained.
- Work with sales reps to identify and prospect client targets, ensuring a steady portfolio of work at attractive prices. Follow up with customers to ensure work meets expectations.
- Work with account managers and administrative staff to ensure effective invoicing and receivables collection.
- Conduct job quality inspections to maintain high standards.
- Conduct monthly operating reviews with sales reps, crew foremen and senior leadership to ensure alignment with objectives.
- Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service.
- Attend community and industry events to help promote our business.
- Confer or consult with other staff members to plan advertising services and to secure information on equipment and customer specifications.
- Maintain a safe and controlled workplace environment and enforce policy.
- The ability to prepare and present proposals.
- Outstanding leadership skills.

**Job Requirements**:

- ISA Certified Arborist or Management experience in the service industry
- Business-to-business selling skills
- Analytical and basic math skills
- Strong communication skills (listening, oral, and written)
- Strong interpersonal skills: ability to build solid professional business relationships
- Multi-tasking and prioritization abilities
- Ability to understand and interpret financial statements
- Tree care: 5 years (required)
- Occasionally sell work and estimate/bid on projects.
- Outstanding leadership skills.
- Management experience in the tree care industry
