Our SE Calgary client is looking for an experienced Shop Foreman to provide leadership to their multi-faceted industrial fabrication team and oversee the entire industrial manufacturing process. The Shop Foreman is responsible for the supervision, optimizing material flow, production scheduling, quality control, and coordination of processes. - 5+ years of experience in a leadership role in a production/ manufacturing facility, ideally in a steel fabrication or welding environment.
- Demonstrated experience with inventory and quality control along with production scheduling.
- Passionate about working with teams, with a forward-thinking and positive attitude.
- Oversee material shipping and optimization of material flow.
- Great communication skills, computer proficiency, and customer service orientation.
- A proven track record of developing and motivating employees emphasizing a safe work environment.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing processes would be considered ideal.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Supervise and schedule production line and warehouse staff.
- Adhere to strict health and safety policies and ensure the safety of all employees.
- Maintenance of shop equipment in addition to optimizing the facility and yard.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production variances and issues.
- Coach and mentor staff to achieve optimal efficiency.
