We currently have an opportunity for a **Control Systems Specialist **in our Automation & Controls Department located in our **Winnipeg Head Office**. Reporting to the Manager, Automation & Controls, you will be responsible for instrumentation and process control systems for our processing plants and port terminal operations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Design, develop and implement PLC and HMI process control systems projects
- Provide support to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, investigate and analyze repetitive failures and make recommendations for remediation
- Define, measure and execute process optimization projects
- Analyze and interpret process control drawings; stay abreast of codes and government regulations
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance program for process control systems
- Act as a technical lead to front line operations and maintenance department staff
- Able to travel 25% to 40% annually, depending on project demand requirements

**Qualifications**:

- Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years PLC and HMI experience, preferably in the agri-industrial or food processing industries
- Project management experience
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills to provide technical support to operating plants
