IAA, Inc., a leading provider of loss recovery services to the insurance industry in Canada, has an opening for a Finance/Data Analyst at our Corporate Office in Mississauga, ON.

IAA is Canada's leading live and live-online salvage vehicle auction company with auction facilities across British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada. IAA's national service offering allows sellers to standardize processes across the country and provides buyers with Canada's most extensive selection of salvage vehicles. This position is responsible for working with various stakeholders to develop insightful analysis to drive business decisions.

The success of the role lies within their ability to understand a stakeholder’s requirements and to fashion solutions to deliver upon those requirements. An ability to build a sound understanding of our industry and business processes along with an ability to build relationships with stakeholders will be key.

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Be the source of data and analysis for IAA
- Query data in source systems using SQL
- Work closely with the external clients and executive team to provide decision critical information and reports.
- Design reports for operational/sales teams using Microsoft Report Builder, SSRS, and Power BI
- Deliver recurring report packages to monitor business performance
- Tender data analysis / evaluations for margins and pricing purposes
- Perform research on industry statistics, competition, and other trends that affect the industry
- Develop financial reports for forecasting and trending
- Communicate with all levels of the organization, including other analysts, operational managers, and the executive team.
- Manage difficult analytical projects with limited supervision
- Perform various administrative tasks as required

**Education**:

- Degree level education in a Financial/IT discipline
- Several years (3+ years) experience gained in an analyst role.

**Job Requirements**:

- Working experience with Microsoft Report Builder/ SQL / Power BI or similar reporting tool with a strong background on relational databases.
- Advanced level MS Office skills
- Strong analytical, statistical, and organizational skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve with limited guidance
- Personable team player able to engage with, work with and persuade members from other disciplines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are required.
- Patience and desire to deliver excellent customer service to our business organization
- 18 years of age or older
