Overview
Thermon Canada Inc., Oakville operates under several manufacturing certifications including an ISO Quality Management system and ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. The Quality Control Inspector will play a key role in inspection functions of products and raw materials in accordance with our quality programs.

**Primary Duties**

Safety
- Adhere to safe working conditions.
- Ensure all safety equipment is used and work in a safe and conscientious manner.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.

Quality
- Conduct mechanical and electrical inspections in accordance with Codes, specifications, standards and customer requirements.
- Accurately complete all required inspection reports and related documentation.
- Create supplier non-conformance reports.
- Ensure all incoming materials meet manufacturing requirements.
- Inspect and measure features of parts and compare measurements to specifications on drawings and material certifications.
- Maintain calibration records for all testing equipment used to verify materials.
- Participate in Third-Party Inspections / Customer QA inspections in support of quality auditors.
- Record the type of quality issues encountered.
- Undertake return goods evaluations and reporting.
- Work closely with the Receiver to ensure timely release of incoming material.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications
- Minimum two years of experience in manufacturing quality control.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant discipline.
- Or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

- Ability to organize and prioritize workload.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematic and mechanical drawings.
- Ability to read ITPs and related documents, procedures and standards.
- Ability to use and understand measuring equipment/instruments.
- Excellent attention to details.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Mathematical aptitude: Must be able to work with fractions and metric measurements.
- Metrology skills and knowledge; Able to use measuring devices such as tape measure, Vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges and other measuring instruments.

Physical Requirements
- 20/20 vision or vision corrected to 20/20 with the use of prescription safety glasses.
- Continual standing and walking.
- Some lifting is generally required, but is usually limited to a maximum of 20 lbs.
- Some stooping and bending.
