Quality Control Inspector

We are looking for a **Quality Control (QC) Inspector** to join our team and strive to ensure that all GVA products meet our high-quality standards and specifications. Reporting to the QA Supervisor, you will frequently communicate feedback and suggestions to create an environment of continuous and focused improvement.

**Function**:
- The Quality Control Inspector is an integral part of our Quality team. All GVA products must meet specific quality standards and as the Quality Control Inspector, your main responsibility will be to uphold these specifications and steer the quality management system.
**Responsibilities**:
- Conduct frequent inspections to monitor and audit product quality at first-off, in-process and during final assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications, standards, documented procedures, work instructions, regulatory requirements, and workmanship standards;
- Initiate non-conformance reports (NCR) and Quality Alerts on material, product and processes;
- Control implementation of corrective actions, verify efficiency and effectiveness and report on issues to supervisor;
- Assist Quality Supervisor in establishing, implementing, and maintaining the quality management system;
- Use and maintain quality control jigs and tools, initiate new requests;
- Take up an active role in FAI (First Article Inspection) process performing required measurements and testing;
- Create, report and maintain inspection quality records within the Quality Management (QMS) system;
- Collaborate with production staff to raise awareness of the importance of quality and train them on quality procedures;
- Work with the ERP system, entering, accessing, utilizing data in support of inspections and quality managing system as a whole;
- Support Production activities if required.
**Qualifications & Abilities**
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role in electronics manufacturing companies.
- Engineering or College Diploma.
- CQI Certificate by ASQ or equivalent is an asset.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, basic knowledge in electronics.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 Standards is an asset.
- Solid computer, written, documentation and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook, ERP systems.
- A quality-oriented mindset, with a commitment to the ongoing improvement of quality system controls and processes.
- Ability to work under pressure of multiple deadlines within a continuously changing environment.
- Team-player attitude, excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure with mínimal supervision.
- Good analytical skills supported by an ability to exercise good judgement.
- Hands-on skill using precision measuring instruments, gauges and inspection tools to a high degree of accuracy.
- Self-Motivated with desire for growth in quality field.

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
