**The Role**:
The Project Coordinator, Mid-Rise is responsible to provide support on mid-rise/high-rise construction, throughout the residential asset development process.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Prepare, log and co-ordinate all construction related documentation as required including Purchase Orders, Change Orders, RFI’s, Site Instructions, closeout documents, etc.
- Track and log daily, weekly, monthly files and applicable project construction documentation
- Log, co-ordinate and assist with the review of shop drawings and general submittals
- Schedule, attend, support meetings, and take minutes as well as its distribution to stakeholders
- Assist with creating, monitoring, updating project schedules and updating weekly progress plans
- Assist with coordinating project close-out, to include collating as-built drawings, archiving of documents, operation and maintenance manuals, deficiencies reports and remedial work
- Assist with management of the client driven change control process (such as upgrades), liaise with applicable Consultants and Construction Manager for site instructions or extras that arise throughout the construction process, including follow up with the Construction Manager’s Site and office staff for quotes, proper saving of all documentation and issuing Purchase Orders, Change Orders, and Construction Drawings when required
- Assist in ensuring appropriate site records are fully maintained by all site staff
- Provide updates to Project Manager and assist in assembling updates for senior leadership when required
- Assist in reviewing project specifications, scopes of work in conjunction with construction drawings and providing constructability reviews.
- Assist with Newstar setup, maintaining and monitoring the project budgets.
- Assist in managing the online database, user access, and keeping up to date with construction drawings, site instructions, etc. to support the close-out documentation assembly
- When applicable, prepare occupancy permit submissions and other requirements for the turnover process
- Assist Project Manager in coordination required with internal departments for sales, décor appointments, customer care, contracts and purchasing.
- Liaise with municipal officials in preparation of and follow up permit submissions
- Assist in any other project related tasks as they arise with confidence and accountability
**You will bring**:
- Post-Secondary Education either University Degree (i.e. Engineering, Real-Estate Planning, Urban Planning, Business/ Commerce, Architecture degree) or College Diploma (Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or Construction Management Program).
- Recent graduate to 2 years experience in mid-rise/high-rise construction and project coordination.
- Ability to work with tight deadlines, multi-task and follow up
- Strong familiarity with construction documentation including the ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications
- A strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project and proficient with other MS Office tools - Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to take the lead as required and adapt to new technologies and situations
- A familiarity with the Ontario Building Code and Tarion
- A valid G driver’s license and the ability to travel to various site locations as required
- NewStar, AutoCAD, Autodesk Design Review, Sketch-up, Punch-out, or Procore software experience is asset
- Ability to be mobile and safe on active construction sites (climbing ladders, working on uneven terrain, and high areas)
- Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team based environment
- Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
