**Salary**:$45,000 - $55,000
**Working hours**:Option for 4 days or 5 days per week. Salary pro-rated based on working hours and experience.
**Location**:WFH / In-office Hybrid (Office located at 320 - 20178 96 avenue, Langley)
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Website Copywriting**:writes website copy for new website builds and enters all content into WordPress, Squarespace or Shopify CMS platforms. Includes being able to write SEO-informed page titles and meta descriptions. Prepares all copy skeletons and ensures word count and formatting matches the design prototype.
- **Brand writing**: supports the branding design team in creative writing for brands and brand strategy, including but not limited to: brand story, business naming, values writing, mission, vision, purpose statements and persona building.
- **Blog writing**: writes all SEO-driven blogs both for White Canvas and our clients who are on recurring blog packages.
- **Social Media Caption writing**: Supports the social media department and content creators with caption writing for client content pieces.
- **Keyword research**: Conducts keyword research to help inform website and blog copywriting.
- **Ad campaign copywriting**: comes up with creative ideas and short taglines for advertising campaigns (print, social and digital storytelling)
- **Social scheduling**:Acts as an overflow support to the social department is able to help schedule content within our content scheduling platform.
- **Proofreading and copy editing** - general proofreading and copy-editing of longer-form documents that have been designed such as annual reports, brochures, magazines and catalogues.
- **Existing website content edits** - manages all content edits for existing client websites
- **Client communication and interviewing** - is able to run a client interview-style meeting to be able to ask questions and find inspiration for website copywriting projects.
**Skills / Requirements**:
- An excellent communicator both verbally and written form
- Excels in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Has a positive attitude, is collaborative and works well in a team environment
- Values work-life balance and self-care
- Completion of Marketing, Creative Writing, Arts, Journalism, or Communications Degree or Certificate at recognized institution
- Minimum 2 years experience writing for marketing or brands
- Understanding of WordPress CMS platform
- Understanding of Google Drive Applications
- Bonus attributes: Experience working in Adobe InDesign, Squarespace and Shopify
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
