**Position Summary**

The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing items for shipment.

This position description is intended to capture the core responsibilities specific job tasks may vary slightly from branch to branch based on the organization structure and business needs of the area.

**Specific Accountabilities**
- Unload all incoming trailers of forklifts and arrange for storage location
- Arranges for shipping of forklifts out of the branch
- Move excess lift trucks from isles each morning
- Tracks and files all paperwork related to shipping and receiving of goods
- Prepare and process daily incoming and outgoing courier packages including interoffice couriers
- Track and trace courier packages as required
- Arrange for shipping of parts
- Perform basic building repairs and maintenance
- Arrange for third party providers to perform building repairs/maintenance

**Other Duties (Varies by Branch)**
- Maintain the exterior maintenance of the building including keeping walkways free of snow and ice and keeping the yard clean
- Arrange for garbage pick up when required
- General housekeeping duties such as sweeping floors, removing garbage, minor painting, and recycling
- Take digital photos of all incoming and outgoing rental trucks
- Helping out in parts department
- Parts deliveries

**Qualifications**

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be a licensed/certified forklift operator.

**Competencies and Skills**
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and handle large volumes of work
- Basic knowledge of courier services
- Knowledge of health and safety practices

**Working Conditions**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- shipping and receiving: 2 years (preferred)
- forklift driving: 1 year (preferred)
- parts: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
