As we continue to grow, we're looking for a skilled Panel Saw Operator to join our team on a temporary, weekend-only basis.
**Position Summary**
We are seeking a Temporary Panel Saw Operator to work weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) at our production facility. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a panel saw to cut wood panels to the precise measurements required for custom cabinetry projects. This is a great opportunity for individuals with experience in woodworking machinery, particularly those seeking weekend work.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Safely set up and operate the panel saw to cut wood panels according to specific measurements.
- Maintain high-quality standards by accurately cutting and ensuring the proper fit for cabinetry components.
- Load and unload materials onto the saw and properly store them after cutting.
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of the panel saw to ensure its optimal function and safety.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure the smooth flow of materials and work processes.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and practices, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
- Assist with other production tasks as needed, including cutting and preparing materials for other woodworking processes.
**Qualifications**
- One year prior experience operating a panel saw or other woodworking machinery is required.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or cutting lists for accurate measurements.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and stand for long periods.
- Understanding and commitment to workplace safety standards and practices.
- Must be punctual, reliable, and able to work independently on weekends.
- Able to adapt to varying production needs.
- Steel-toed safety shoes required.
