- Le gestionnaire de l'unité des sinistres est responsable de la gestion, de la formation, de l'encadrement et du mentorat d'une équipe d'analystes, de junior à senior, traitant divers types de sinistres commerciaux, y compris les dommages matériels de tiers; les dommages corporels, y compris les décès et les blessures catastrophiques ; et les dommages environnementaux.
- Les responsabilités comprendraient:

- Suivi et fourniture d'instructions aux analystes
- Approuver les réserves et les règlements au-dessus de l'autorité des analystes
- Examiner et approuver toutes les réservations de droits et lettres de refus
- Examiner et approuver les rapports de sinistres majeurs
- Effectuer des examens mensuels des dossiers ouverts pour assurer la conformité aux directives opérationnelles/meilleures pratiques
- S'assurer que les analystes coordonnent et collaborent avec les experts indépendants et les avocats de la défense pour développer et mettre en œuvre le plan de résolution le plus efficace, équitable et opportun
- S'assurer que les analystes fournissent un service client exceptionnel
- Maintenir de bons rapports et des relations de travail étroites avec les souscripteurs, les courtiers et les assurés
- Réaliser des évaluations de performance annuelles, y compris des entretiens d'enregistrement en milieu d'année
- Mentorat d'analystes pour le développement futur
- Promouvoir une culture d'intégrité et de gestion des risques au sein de l'équipe

- Ce poste peut être situé à Toronto ou à Montréal et relève du vice-président canadien des sinistres, situé à Toronto, en Ontario.
- Exigences du poste:

- Minimum de 12 à 15 ans d'expérience dans le traitement des réclamations d'accidents commerciaux litigieuses et non litigieuses
- Expérience collégiale/universitaire ou expérience équivalente dans l'industrie
- Licencié AMF et bilingue et atout
- Désignation CIP un atout
- Solides compétences en leadership
- Capacité à prendre des décisions et à donner des directives aux analystes
- Capacité à travailler de façon autonome avec un minimum de supervision
- Excellentes compétences en communication orale et écrite
- Excellentes compétences organisationnelles et interpersonnelles
- Capacité à effectuer plusieurs tâches et à travailler efficacement dans un environnement d'équipe au rythme rapide
- Capacité à gérer efficacement la charge de travail, en particulier pendant les périodes de forte activité
- Position Summary

The Casualty Claims Unit Manager is responsible for managing, training, coaching and mentoring a team of Analysts, from junior to senior, handling various types of commercial casualty claims including third party property damage; bodily injury, including fatalities and catastrophic injuries; and environmental damages.
- Responsibilities would include:

- Monitoring and providing instructions to Analysts
- Approving reserves and settlements above the Analysts authority
- Reviewing and approving all reservation of rights and denial letters
- Reviewing and approving Major Loss Reports
- Performing monthly open file reviews to ensure compliance with Operational / Best Practices guidelines
- Ensuring Analysts coordinate and collaborate with independent adjusters and defense counsels to develop and implement the most efficient, equitable and timely resolution plan
- Ensuring Analysts provide exceptional customer service
- Maintaining good rapport and close working relationships with underwriters, brokers and insureds
- Completing annual performance reviews, including mid-year check-in conversations
- Mentoring Analysts for future development
- Promote a culture of integrity and risk management within the team
- Organizational Structure

This position can be located in Toronto or Montreal, and reports to the Canadian Casualty Claims Vice President located in Toronto, Ontario.
- Position requirements:

- Minimum 12-15 years’ experience handling litigated and non-litigated commercial casualty claims
- College/University or equivalent industry experience
- AMF Licensed and Bilingual and asset
- CIP Designation an asset
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to make decisions and give directions to Analysts
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast paced team environment
- Ability to manage work load effectively, especially during times of high activity
