Halifax, Canada Paladin Technologies Full time

Due to our continued growth in Eastern Canada, we are looking for an experienced Security Systems Technician to join the team in Halifax. Our Senior Technician will be responsible for installing communications infrastructure and devices, including electronic security systems, audiovisual devices, wireless networking, unified voice communications.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Installation (including pre-wiring, installing, programming, commissioning, and trouble-shooting) of electronic systems and devices; service and maintenance of such as required
- Support, lead, and mentor team members
- Design systems and layout
- Provide customer with training for proper system usage, and respond to technical inquiries
- Maintain a high level of safety and professionalism
- Complete detailed and accurate paperwork
- Perform other tasks as required Lead projects at a site level, manage a team of junior technicians as necessary
- You may be required to be “on-call” before or after your regularly scheduled hours, and/or on a day when you are not regularly scheduled to work

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience with integrated security systems
- Experience working with Genetec, Lenel, C-Cure, Avigilon, Milestone or other enterprise-level Video Management or Access Control System is preferred
- Manufacturers training/certification is a strong asset
- Able to work independently
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Post-secondary training in electronics or equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Driver’s License with clean abstract
