**Job overview**:
The 5-Ton Receiver/Baler Operator is responsible for safely receiving incoming goods and materials using a 5-ton forklift and operating a baler machine to process recyclable materials such as cardboard and plastics. This position ensures efficient handling, processing, and documentation of incoming shipments and recyclable waste while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

**Responsibilities and duties**:

- Operate a 5-ton forklift to unload, move, and stage incoming shipments.
- Receive and inspect incoming materials for accuracy and damage.
- Maintain accurate records of received goods and report discrepancies.
- Safely operate baler equipment to compress and bundle recyclable materials.
- Sort materials as required before baling (e.g., cardboard, plastic).
- Ensure baled materials are labeled and stored or shipped properly.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report equipment issues.
- Keep the receiving and baling areas clean and organized.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Forklift operation experience or a valid forklift certificate is required.
- Completion of secondary school
- Experience in a plant, warehouse
- Working communication skills
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Physical requirements include the ability to operate heavy machinery
