Dr.Bill is the largest dedicated medical billing provider in Canada, serving 17,000+ physicians and healthcare professionals in Ontario, British Columbia and Alberta. Dr.Bill doesn’t exist just to facilitate faster, more accurate medical billing for doctors (although we do that very well indeed). **What is the opportunity?**
Dr.Bill is looking to hire a Director of Marketing, who will be accountable for developing and implementing a comprehensive and ambitious strategy aimed at driving business growth within existing and new market sectors. This critical Dr.Bill Senior Management team member will work cross-functionally to analyze market trends, understand prospect behavior, and assess competition, to shape innovative GTM initiatives. As marketing lead, you will be directly responsible for informing a product roadmap from a marketing perspective, and deploying resources to support a broad and ambitious B2B growth strategy with the Dr.BIll leadership team. You will also head a team that manages performance marketing, content marketing, and community partnerships and events.
**WHAT WILL YOU DO?**
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing & growth strategy that drives business outcomes and market expansion, utilizing insights and market trends, prospect behavior, and competitive intel.
- Executive Team Collaboration: Serve as a key member of the Dr.Bill executive team, contributing to the overall direction and strategy of the organization.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team responsible for driving growth initiatives, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
- Product Marketing: Collaborate in the creation, development and commercialization of new products and services that meet customer needs, promote market differentiation, and contribute to sustainable growth.
- Customer Acquisition & Retention: Focus on acquiring new customers while maintaining and improving relationships with existing ones through personalized experiences, loyalty programs, and customer engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Sales, developing collateral, developing events and establishing new/additional pipeline opportunities.
- Brand Awareness and Consideration: Grow the Dr.Bill brand and, if needed, optimize current or develop new brand strategies
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics to inform strategic decisions, optimize resource allocation, and prioritize growth initiatives.
**WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?**
**Must have**
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in leadership roles, preferably in tech or startup environments.
- Proven experience in executing high-impact B2B/SaaS marketing campaigns across performance marketing, content marketing and partnerships. A track record of driving significant user engagement and customer acquisition across multiple channels.
- Demonstrable experience in digital product marketing, specifically collaborating with technical teams to reach marketing objectives.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team. Experience in building and nurturing teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate vision and strategy effectively to both internal teams and external partners.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with an ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- A collaborative approach to working with internal and external partners and stakeholders.
**Nice-to-have**
- Experience in large, matrixed organizations.
- Brand strategy & brand building experience
- Experience in fintechs or startups leading digital banking, payments, and/or financial product development.
- Experience in the Canadian healthcare system, working in health tech space would be an asset.
