Pomeroy Technologies is seeking to fill a **Computer Operations Operator** position in our Winnipeg Canada location.

This position is a Full Time Benefited position

This position works an alternating work schedule

7a.m. - 7p.m (2 days) 7p.m. - 7 a.m. (2 days) - 4 days off.

This schedule may include nights, weekends and holidays.

Pay is commensurate to experience:
The individual selected to fill the Computer Operations Operator position must be fluent in English. (spoken and written). The selected applicant must possess a strong understanding of command line language (Unix and Linux). A degree in computer science is preferred but not required. The individual selected for the position must have strong communication skills.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Monitor all batch flow processing and ensure timely completion of endpoints/milestones.
- Identify delays or bottlenecks and resolve or escalate accordingly.
- Track and document all outages and incidents
- Able to perform system IPLs
- Strong experience in 1st level problem determination and reporting
- Understand Problem Management & Change Management requirements
- Escalate tickets as needed and collaborate with teammates to resolve issues.
- Aid all operations personnel to ensure that the highest level of customer satisfaction is maintained.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative, team environment.
- Ability to multitask with a high attention to detail.
- Remain current with all procedures and provide input as appropriate.
- Must be able and willing to learn new tasks/skills as required
- Escalate to the assigned client representative and Pomeroy Manager any documentation, process or procedure discrepancies and follow-up until resolved.
- Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
