- **Overview of Position**:_

We are looking for General Laborers with pre-engineered building experience as our company focuses on the installation of prefabricated steel buildings.

The General Laborer provides work site maintenance, organization, and is responsible for, although not limited to, working with power hand tools, aerial lifts and telehandler operations (if certified). As a key member of the WSS family, you must have the ability to lift 75+ pounds, work at average heights of 20-30 feet, and have a valid class 5 license with a clean driver’s abstract. Employees are expected to support and participate in a “culture of safety,” and promote Wiebe’s Steel Structures core values, and to treat others with dignity, respect, and fairness. Travel is a requirement for the job, hours may include shifts of 10-12 hours a day with rotating shifts of up to 21 days and 7 to 10 days off.
- **Key Responsibilities**_:
Able to work in Canada ( we are not offer work visas at this time)

Fall protection certification (preferred)

Aerial lift, telehandler (certifications preferred)

WHMIS, first aid/CPR certifications meeting OH&S and construction safety standards (preferred)

Construction & Steel building/metal exterior finishing

Physically demanding work and Comfortable working at heights

Equipment/tool/vehicle maintenance/repair

Punctual, reliable work attendance

Work effectively with mínimal supervision, follow instruction, and take initiative, be self-motivated

Physically capable of heavy manual labor (lifting 75+ lbs)

Maintain a safe, well-organized, and clean work environment

Valid driver's license and access to personal transportation to and from work sites

(We will train less experienced people, but must be the right person)
- **Work conditions**:_

Travel to and from worksites, ability to lift 75+ lbs, ability to carry 50+ lbs, walking, standing, working heights, working outdoors, required safety equipment, hazards associated with the trade, construction sites, noise, irregular hours.

15 on/6 off or 21 on/7 off - premium $4.00/hr

**This position requires travel to southern Manitoba 100% of the time and may require travel to other provinces, are you willing to travel?**
