Technical Operations and Maintenance Specialist

**Job Overview**
As the **Technical Operations and Maintenance Specialist**you will report and assist the **General Manager, M&O** in providing technical leadership and oversight for all M&0 employees. Your role involves ensuring compliance with PLH Dublin and customer policies, promoting safe and efficient operations, and developing procedures for entrusted projects and daily operations. Manage the reliability and integrity of the Facilities Maintenance Plan. Understand and stay abreast of changes within CSA 836 as it relates to Jet fuel storage at Aerodrome facilities. Demonstrates a team player environment and collaborates effectively with operations and maintenance leads.
**Responsibilities**
- Analyze client and authority needs and ensure compliance with mandates.
- Plan and prepare assignments and resolve issues with managerial support.
- Review and propose improvements to existing procedures and documentation.
- Manage projects involving multiple stakeholders while prioritizing tasks for optimal resource utilization and client satisfaction.
- Solve complex problems daily to ensure the successful execution of client mandates.
**Technical Guidance**
- Provide expert technical interpretation of client and authority requirements.
- Research and develop solutions for non-routine inquiries.
- Collaborate with department supervisors and senior management to enhance services.
- Mentor site employees and offer technical support to the management team.
**Daily Interaction**
- Liaise with the General Manager and project managers regarding technical complaints and audits.
- Act as a primary contact for clients and suppliers to clarify scope of work and gather information.
- Conducts regular meetings for feedback on operations and areas of improvement.
**Quality Assurance**
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and effective operational methods.
- Direct technical investigations for resolving client and management complaints.
- Review and improve operational procedures and systems.
**Documentation and Reporting**
- Produce monthly reports and progress updates for clients.
- Manage electronic archiving of technical documents.
- Oversee technical audits of operational teams.
**Training and Development**
- Lead knowledge transfer for new equipment and develop technical training packages.
- Participate in training opportunities to stay current with technology and methodologies.
- Participates in research and development of PLH Standard Operational Procedures.
**Operational Planning**
- Identify company needs, review technical specifications, and prepare work plans.
- Ensure the availability of necessary equipment for tasks and manage project timelines.
**Qualifications**
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a strategic mindset
- 5 years tank farm or related oil and gas experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree/diploma in Mechanical Engineering, an asset
- Project Management and software maintenance platform experience.
- Experience with development of Standard Operating Procedures.
- Working knowledge of quality management systems an asset.
- Successfully pass a background check and attain a Restricted Area Identification Card.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $80,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
