**About Us**:
Lex Metal is a trusted name in custom metal fabrication, specializing in both structural and miscellaneous steel. We serve commercial, industrial, and residential sectors throughout the Greater Toronto Area with a commitment to high-quality workmanship, reliability, and safety.

We are currently seeking a **Shop Supervisor** with strong fitting and welding experience to lead our fabrication team. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with deep knowledge of steel fabrication and proven supervisory experience in a metal shop environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead and supervise a team of 5-10 fitters and welders in the fabrication shop
- Plan and coordinate daily shop activities to meet production goals and project deadlines
- Interpret and work from shop drawings and blueprints
- Perform fitting and welding tasks as required to support the team
- Ensure quality control throughout the fabrication process
- Enforce and promote health and safety regulations within the shop
- Monitor inventory and communicate material/equipment needs
- Liaise with project managers and office staff to ensure production aligns with job requirements

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in a steel fabrication shop, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead-hand role
- Proficient in fitting and welding (MIG & Stick welding required; CWB certification is an asset)
- Strong understanding of structural and miscellaneous metals (stairs, railings, beams, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Commitment to safety and quality standards

**How to Apply**:
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
