Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Mississauga, ON, for a Millwork Shop Supervisor. The Millwork Shop Supervisor will oversee daily operations of the shop, ensure the efficient production of high-quality millwork, and manage a team of skilled tradespeople. Responsibilities include planning work schedules, supervising staff, maintaining equipment, monitoring timelines, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and managing inventory and material orders. The supervisor will also collaborate with clients and internal teams, ensuring that projects consistently meet client expectations and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Leadership, team management, and ability to oversee production staff
- Experience in millwork production, understanding of woodworking techniques, materials, and equipment
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications
- Ability to ensure quality control, adherence to safety standards, and efficient workflow planning
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse teams and clients
- Proficiency with tools, machinery, and industry-standard software for millwork production
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a millwork, carpentry, or construction setting is preferred
