POSITION:

- Temporary Full Time for approximately nine (9) months HOURS:
- Approximately 75.0 bi-weekly hours SHIFTS:
- Days / Weekends
- 7.5 hours per shiftWAGE RANGE:

- NONU $43.51/hr $52.74/hr RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To supervise, coordinate, monitor, support, and lead staff in the efficient, effective, and safe delivery of services in Environmental Services and other Hospital Services departments as required
- Assist in developing and reviewing department performance and practices, and recommending and implementing changes as required to improve service, meet standards, and optimally use resources
- Ensure staff adheres to all government legislation and hospital/departmental policies and procedures
- Ensure the departmental staffing schedule, staffing records, vacation requests, sick calls, and payroll functions are complete
- Assist in recruiting, interviewing, selecting, training, orienting, assigning, evaluating, and disciplining staff in accordance with all government legislation and hospital/departmental policies and procedures
- Maintain a working knowledge of all equipment, systems, process, and standards for the Environmental Services
- Assist in problem-solving, developing, and implementing solution strategies
- Support and monitor Teletracking to ensure optimum bed flow
- Liaise and collaborate with the overnight Administrative Supervisor to achieve organizations needs
- Demonstrates QCH values: collaboration, accountability, innovation and respect REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires a College diploma, preferably in a health-related field
- Six (6) years direct experience in Hospital Services required if in lieu of education
- Minimum three (3) years hospital experience, within the previous 5 years
- Minimum (2) years previous leadership experience (preferably in Environmental Services)
- Proven ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment
- Strong information technology/systems literacy This posting is for an existing position.
