Retro offers an array of unique, innovative and versatile private event spaces spanning multiple floors, which include state-of-the-art technology, specialized menus and detail orientated service. Chilled Cork provides all catering services for in house events, festivals, off site celebrations, and Four Diamond Events at The Chatham Armoury.
We’re looking to grow our team of Events + Catering Specialist superstars. You’ll assist with all planning details, day of coordination, staff scheduling for various events and be the main point of contact for the happy couple. Are we their unofficial ‘official’ wedding planner. Our one stop shop approach to their special day covering all the details and eliminating all the wedding worries we possibly can. Our passion and purpose is quite simple; making people happy.

**What you’ll do**
As key player at Retro + Chilled Cork you’ll support our mission to make our team, our community, and our world a better place, one guest experience at a time. Being part of this mission will include:
- Responding to all event inquiries in a timely manner
- Hosting event planning consultations and venue tours
- Creating event quotes and follow-up actions
- Maintaining and updating event related documents as required, including processing contracts and deposits
- Booking event space rentals, organizing menus, creating floor plans and event plans, suggesting timelines etc.
- Managing the event calendar: maintaining soft holds, confirmed bookings, deposit tracker, and recording all event details to the clients’ specifications
- Managing deadlines and timelines leading up to the event
- Maintaining open lines of communication with Front of House and Back of House staff to ensure all are aware and onboard with event bookings and details
- Aiding with set up and tear down of events
- Acting as host, at times a concierge, during events; as the main contact onsite you ensure customer service is executed to superior standards
- Ensuring billing accuracy for each event
**Personal Attributes & Qualifications**
- At least 2 years experience as an event coordinator
- Proven success as an event planner or coordinator
- Ability to work well independently and within a team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company's success
- Professional and enthusiastic
- Smart Serve Certified

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
