**Hourly Rate**: $23.50 - $27.00
**PTE**: 24-32 hours per week (three 8-hour days)
**Vacation**: 2 weeks chosen vacation weeks, 2 weeks of full office shut-down.
**Reporting to the Executive Director**, the Fundraising Coordinator is responsible for the oversight, coordination, and strategy development for the solicitation of donation prospects, acquisition, and retention.
This position manages the donor relationship, which will involve:
- **Donor cycle** - identifying, researching, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding these individuals and businesses, while working closely with the Home Suite Hope management team, council members, and colleagues.
This position will identify:
- **Moves management** - upgraded gift prospects from a pool of existing donors, as well as new donor prospects through special research to identify individuals that have the significant capacity and may have a strong affinity for education, women’s charitable programs, and homelessness.
The **Fundraising Coordinator** may support the **Marketing and Events Coordinator** in managing donor cultivation activities such as donor site visits, coffees, lunches, house party fundraising events, and events in targeted geographic areas. A car is required for off-site meetings.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
Develop strategies and implement activities to identify, cultivate, and solicit gifts from existing and potential donors, in accordance with the Donation Program and Gift Acceptance Policy.
**Fundraising**
- Update and track all donor communications through the Salesforce database
- Assist lead staff and volunteers with all fundraising events including, but not limited to: Empty Bowls at Home, Hope for Holidays, Corporate Sponsorship Subscription Kits; Partners in Change campaign.
- Research and identify sources of funding, including federal, provincial, and local agencies, corporations, and public foundations.
- Provides administrative support to staff and volunteers including adherence to financial compliance regulations and provincial operations practices
- Implement a plan for developed donors within the portfolio, from prospects to Partners in Change donors.
**Grant-writing**
- Meets proposal deadline by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, approval, and submission in support of the **Grant Writer**.
- Gathers proposal information by identifying sources of information, coordinating submissions and collections, and identifying and communicating risks associated with proposals.
- Creating drafts of grants to be approved by the Executive Director, and sent to the Grant Writer for final submission.
**Records Management**
- Research and cultivate donor relationships with the capacity of up to $10,000 level in support of Home Suite Hope.
- Records and prepares thank-you cards for donations.
- Updating donor household information into the Salesforce CRM database.
- Responsible for the coordination of records management for fundraising campaigns, events, and correspondence.
- Assists with the collection, coordination, and development of fundraising data and statistics, and reports for fundraising events.
- Assists with orientation and facilitation of corporate volunteers.
- Maintains inventory, collates, and prepares fundraising and event materials for distribution to communities and/or internal stakeholders.
**Event Support**
- Provides support for Marketing & Events Coordinator.
- Supporting Executive Director, and Director of Operations with logístical and administrative support
- Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and its regulations.
- Attends events and planning meetings as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
**Portfolio**
- Guide strategic plan development for new donor cultivation and work with the support of Home Suite Hope’s management, council members, board members, and colleagues.
- Manage a prospect portfolio of approximately 150 - 200 individuals and businesses with the goal of generating gifts up to $10,000 or more.
- The focus should be on soliciting new donors at this level and upgrading existing donors to this level and higher.
**Success Metrics**
- Number/dollar amount of upgraded gifts
- Number/dollar amount of renewed gifts
- Number/dollar amount of new gifts
- Number of in-person donor/prospect visits
**Prospecting**
- Prospecting communications will require both leveraging connections and cold outreach.
- Prepare prospect profiles, as needed.
- Cultivate relationships (new or existing) with volunteer leaders, who can extend Home Suite Hope’s reach by connecting us to and assisting with the cultivation and solicitation of existing and new prospects.
