**Position**:Front End & Parking Lot Clerk**

**Reports to**:Front End Manager (or Assistant if Manager if absent)**

- **Key Responsibilities**:_

In order to fulfill your duties you are expected to:

- Come to work on time in a neat and well-groomed appearance every day and to wear your uniform if you are required to do so.
- Take direction from Front End Manager (or Assistant if Manager is absent).
- Ensure that Company principles, policies and store Management direction is understood and reflected in your day to day work.
- Make sure that when handling food products it is done in a manner that no damage will

result.
- Always be polite and friendly when dealing with customers.
- Keep shopping carts neatly in cart corrals.
- Cart pick up: Never push more than 5 carts at a time.
- Ensure that cart corrals are swept clean and free of all debris.
- Keep shopping carts clean of all papers, bags, etc...
- Ensure that entire parking lot, front and back and landscaped area are clean of all debris.
- Make sure that all carts are gathered at night and properly divided to all corrals.
- Make sure that all walkways are swept (and cleared of snow and ice in the winter).
- Take away full bottle carts to the basement and replace them with empty one.
- Sorting of all empty bottles into the proper pop container by company name and place full

cases in the designated area.
- Change outdoor garbage bags when required.
- When time permits, assist customers in the parking lot placing grocery shopping in their car.
- Help parceling orders at the front end when asked.
- Sweep and mop the front end of the store and vestibules when required.
- Organize and tidy up inside of janitor’s room at the end of your late shift.
- Pick up garbage off the floor anywhere as you walk by (ie. paper etc...).
- Sweep the entire receiving area at the end of your late shift.
- Work in compliance with the _Occupational Health and Safety Act._
- Help with cleaning when required.
