Production Labourer

**Airfoam Industries Ltd**is an industry leader in the design and manufacturing of sustainable, budget-friendly and environmentally conscious EPS building materials, geofoam and flotation solutions.

Our three manufacturing plants are located in British Columbia where we have seen great success. We are thrilled to announce that we have recently opened a 3rd shift at our new site in Paris Ontario, and are searching for a **Production Laborer**to support the successful production of Airfoam products.

This is an exciting role for anyone who is looking to grow their knowledge of operations and manufacturing, and for someone who brings a strong work ethic and safety first mindset to work with them each day.

**SHIFT SCHEDULE (Overnight)**: 11:00pm - 7:00am (Monday - Friday)

**DUTIES**:

- Coordinate with upstream and downstream process workers on material requirements and timing for assigned station.
- Coordinate product dimensions and specifications with the cutter.
- Ensure products are correctly identify as per customer’s requirements
- Ensure all EPS scrap is segregated properly as per specifications.
- Communicate any related products and machine issues to the Production Lead.
- Assist in loading, unloading, and moving EPS blocks and finished products if necessary.
- Responsible for packing finished products and labeled as per standard specifications.
- Identify and ensure defective products are separated.
- Ensure proper quality and quantities of packaging of products as specified.
- Complete all production forms and reports.
- Transportation of materials between raw goods and semi-finished goods to various processing centers.
- Actively participate in equipment maintenance monitoring where required.
- Perform operational maintenance works on equipment and machineries to ensure continuous and uninterrupted operation.
- Operate material handling equipment safely.

**WHAT YOU BRING**:

- Grade 12 Diploma, or equivalent.
- The ability to demonstrate analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot production issues.
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment would be an asset.
- Great attention to detail with the ability to be accurate and thorough.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.
- Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively, tactfully, and professionally to internal and external stakeholders.
- Basic math skills.
- Understanding of QMS (Quality Management System) as they relate to this position.
- Forklift license considered an asset.

**Compensation**: The pay for this role is $18.50 per hour, with an additional $1.00/hour shift premium for hours worked between 11:00pm - 7:00am.
