This rewarding position provides an opportunity to offer vital care and support to individuals in need while gaining valuable experience within the healthcare and Disability Services sectors.
**We are seeking a dedicated caregiver to support a family after-school from around 3 pm to 5 or 6pm Monday to friday and PD days full day.**

**Musts**:
- **Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record**:
- **Reliable vehicle and liability insurance**:
- **Ability to transport children safely to and from activities and school**:
- **First Aid certification**:
- **Police Check with Vulnerable Sector**:
- **CFS Intervention Check**
**Duties**:
- Provide respite care for children aged 2-17 years
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Prepare and serve meals in accordance with dietary restrictions and preferences
- Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Support mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Plan and facilitate engaging activities tailored to each child's interests and abilities
**Skills & Attributes**:
- Experience required
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, empathetic, and respectful approach to care
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect client privacy
