Manager Strategic Supply

In this role, reporting to the Director, Strategic Development, the Manager, Strategic Supply will be responsible for leading the Strategic Supply team in identifying new opportunities for additional Cobalt supply and managing a portfolio of existing projects throughout the project lifecycle, which includes business development, commercial, technical and project management elements. The role is key to the long-term success of Nordion, and has high visibility throughout both the Nordion and Sotera organizations.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the current portfolio of Cobalt supply projects, including the establishment of timelines and budgets and report progress regularly
- Oversee the day-to-day activities of the Business Development Manager, Project Manager and Project Engineer within the Strategic Supply group, providing guidance and removing barriers to progress
- Maintain a current view of long-term Cobalt supply and review this with leadership on a regular basis
- Potentially take leadership role of one or more individual initiatives

Guide the development of business cases for supply projects and make recommendations to senior leadership
- Lead or support the negotiation of supply contracts and amendments as necessary, including working with internal and external legal
- Manage the co-ordinate of cross-functional technical expertise to resolve supply-related issues
- Support projects as a Nordion representative for external project management meetings and updates with utilities, nuclear engineering vendors and other technical and commercial stakeholders
- Establish and maintain relationship with key external stakeholders

**Qualifications**:

- A graduate engineering, life sciences or other technical degree, or business degree with technical experience
- Minimum 10 years experience in business development role in a technical field
- Familiarity with the nuclear industry would be an asset
