Supply Chain Manager

OverviewAt STERIS, we help our Customers create a healthier and safer world by providing innovative healthcare and life science product and service solutions around the globe.ResponsibilitiesThe Supply Chain Manager oversees purchasing and logistics operations at the plant, ensuring raw material availability, optimizing supply chain processes, and leading a high-performing team. You will foster strong collaboration across departments and with suppliers to maintain supply chain continuity and drive continuous improvement initiatives. As part of the site leadership team, this position contributes to strategic planning and talent development.This role requires onsite work 5 days/week at our Stittsville location.Oversees Purchasing and Logistics operations at the plant, including:Designing and optimizing procurement and logistics processesMonitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and implementing corrective actionsLeading and mentoring the procurement and logistics teamEnsures supply chain continuity by fostering strategic partnerships with suppliers and developing contingency plans in collaboration with Production and Engineering teams.Drives cross-functional collaboration with Production, Planning, R&D, Life Sciences, and Quality departments to enhance process efficiency and resource utilization.Guarantees timely availability of raw materials for production by optimizing order quantities, delivery schedules, and inventory turnover.Defines and maintains purchasing parameters within the ERP system to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement of raw materials.Establishes team priorities and provides strong leadership in process development, problem-solving, and project execution.Conducts annual performance reviews and supports team members’ professional growth through targeted training and coaching initiatives.Leads continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing costs, improving delivery timelines, and mitigating supply chain and logistics risks.Contributes to site leadership as a member of the local management team, supporting the Director of Operations in setting strategic priorities and promoting cross-departmental collaboration.Experience, Skills, and Abilities NeededRequiredBachelor's Degree.10 years of experience in purchasing and supply chain activities in a manufacturing environment.OtherLeadership skills.Communication skills.Solid management abilities.Strong analytical competencies.Sound judgement.In-depth knowledge of computer systems.Proficient with technological tools in a PC environment.What STERIS OffersWe value our employees and are committed to providing a comprehensive benefits package that support your health, well-being, and financial future.Here is just a brief overview of what we offer:Market Competitive Pay.Extensive Paid Time Off (PTO) and 9 added Holidays.Excellent Healthcare, Dental and vision benefits.Long/Short Term Disability coverage.Tuition Reimbursement and continued educations programs.Excellent opportunities for advancement in a stable long-term career.STERIS does not accept unsolicited resumes/CV's from individual recruiters or third-party recruiting agencies in response to job postings.#LI-BB1This posting is for an existing vacancy within our organization.Pay range for this opportunity is $94,137.50 - $121,825.00.
