**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Operate heavy-duty trucks to transport freight across designated routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and ensure all paperwork is completed in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transit.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies related to safety and compliance.
- Perform basic automotive repair tasks as needed to maintain vehicle functionality.

**Skills**
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair techniques for minor vehicle maintenance.
- Ability to operate forklifts and heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and regulations.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- Attention to detail, particularly in maintaining logs and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Pay: $17.50-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
