Technical Support Representative

Oakville, Canada THE MONITORING CENTER Full time

Assist customers with system trouble, user operations, advance programming, and troubleshooting. Interpret new products and technologies. Work with management and field personnel to find and implement technical solutions for customers. Assist the department with special projects as well as uploads and downloads of all panel types.

**Responsibilities**:
To perform this job successfully a technical support representative may be expected to perform some or all of the duties listed:
Quality control and account setups

Create new and update existing work orders for department and technicians
Collaborate with tech support and field personnel
Help manage and maintain field technician’s day to day schedule
Perform special projects assigned to the department
Must be able to assist with on call rotation

Work closely with and assist internal departments
Troubleshoot a wide variety of diverse products and handle customer grievances
Position requires weekend, holiday and shift work and may require mandatory overtime
Assist with all departmental functions as defined by leadership

**Skills and Abilities**:
Customer service and problem-solving skills.
Decision making skills and independent judgments are important in this position.
There is continuous need for strong interpersonal, communication, creativity and people skills.
Continuous use of discretion is necessary.
Requires constant reading, writing, speaking and understanding of the English language.

Ability to operate independently with mínimal supervision and perform duties with little direction given.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

**Salary**: From $16.00 per hour
