**You will**:

- Negotiate with surface rights owners for the acquisition of land rights, right-of-way, damage settlements, rental reviews and lease amendments.
- Travel to various locations.
- Communicate with key stakeholders such as clients, landowners, regulatory officials, government agencies and project managers throughout the life cycle of the projects.
- Work effectively in a team environment while also taking on initiatives independently.
- Conduct thorough site reviews and support assessment documentation.
- Prepare and update status reports for each ongoing project by ensuring accuracy and effectively communicating on project progress.
- Accurately track acquisition work for client invoices.
- Document terms and conditions.

**We are looking for someone with**:

- 3 years of field acquisition experience is desired.
- Land Agent License, but willing to consider Interim Agents looking for a Training Agreement.
- Commissioner for Oaths is required - can assist with obtaining.
- Knowledge of relevant land legislation and regulations.
- Public consultation experience.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational, problem solving and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Exposure to Land and Property Rights Tribunal hearings (previously Surface Rights Board) would be an asset.
- Familiarity with geospatial information systems.
