Park Foreman

_**Administrative Functions**:_
- Providing exceptional customer service
- Completing administrative tasks as directed, including facility reports, event logs, and inspections.
- Maintaining accurate records, daily logs, reports, and inventory checklists.
- **Safety**:_
- Creating, reviewing, and managing safety manuals and procedures.
- Ensuring all Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements are met.
- Maintaining safe working conditions and ensuring all amenities are hazard-free.
- **Operations and Maintenance Functions**:_
- Installing, operating, and maintaining park amenities such as:

- Recreational ice surfaces (seasonal)
- Beachfront equipment, buoys, docks, and walkways
- Picnic areas, benches, fences, and waste receptacles
- Performing seasonal and year-round groundskeeping tasks, including:

- Lawn care (mowing, watering, fertilizing, turf repair)
- Horticulture (planting, pruning)
- Snow and ice management on all surfaces
- Conducting preventative maintenance and minor repairs on park infrastructure and tools
- Operating and maintaining equipment (e.g., UTVs, lawn mowers, trimmers, snowblowers, utility boats)
- Monitoring inventory, handling supplies, and supporting procurement decisions
- Maintaining overall cleanliness and presentation of the park, lake, and walkways
- Observing safe use of park amenities and addressing issues or concerns promptly
- Adapting to evolving property needs with independence and initiative
- Ensure proactive upkeep of community aesthetics and safety, responding to site wear, damage, and weather-related issues in a timely manner.
- **Supervision & Quality Control**:_
- Lead and mentor maintenance team members and seasonal staff to ensure timely, high-quality work.
- Develop daily, weekly, and seasonal work plans and schedules based on community priorities and environmental conditions.
- Monitor and inspect work to ensure alignment with community standards and safety protocols.
- **Process & Standards Development**:_
- Establish and refine maintenance procedures to increase efficiency and consistency across all sites.
- Evaluate equipment needs and maintenance practices to improve performance and longevity.
- **Environmental & Seasonal Readiness**:_
- Manage seasonal transitions such as spring and fall cleanups, ice surface preparation, and lake amenity installations/removals. Collaborate with external consultants and vendors as needed for specialized tasks or environmental compliance.

- **Hours of Employment**_
- Typically 35-40 hours per week, Monday to Sunday. Schedule may vary depending on facility needs, special events, or emergent issues.

- **Qualifications**:_
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong work ethic with a customer service focus
- Ability to enforce community regulations and uphold JLHOA standards respectfully
- Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and clean driving history
- Experience in landscaping, maintenance, or facility operations is considered an asset but not required

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
