Oshawa, Canada Helen Home Care Full time

If you are looking for a permanent place to call home in Oshawa, this may be the opportunity for you. You will be provided with a private bedroom, bathroom and living space. Internet is included. All meals and travel expenses are also included. You will live comfortably, rent free.

This position is a full time live in position. (minimum 5 days a week). Some flexibility with your days off to be co-ordinated with other caregivers.

The owner, a senior lady (early 90's) seeking requires a full time live-in PSW, including overnights. Over the summer you will spend time at a lakeside summer home 1 hour from Oshawa.

**THIS POSITION REQUIRES THAT YOU ARE LIVING IN CANADA and Oshawa area NOW.** This position begins in early May.

You are a patient, caring person with experience dealing with an elderly senior requiring personal care. **PSW training and experience is essential. Experienced driver with a valid Ontario Licence is also required.**

You are a non-smoker, have a valid driver's licence with a clean driving record. You can also provide a clear criminal police record. You are fully vaccinated.

Duties include preparing and serving 3 healthy meals daily, assisting with dressing and bathing, monitoring and giving medications. Occasional evening and overnight check-in may be required.

As this is a live-in position, working hours are approximately 50 total hours per week (5 days). Working time is considered the time you are attending to Helen. You will have a lot of time for sleep rest & breaks. Helen likes home cooking. if you can follow her recipes and like to cook a variety of dishes, your culinary skills will be appreciated.

As a companion, you will spend time together with daily outings including grocery shopping, general shopping and appointments with doctors in Oshawa and Toronto. Keeping her company in the evening watching TV.

Some light housekeeping and washing required. Home is professionally cleaned regularly. Assistance with bathing and personal hygiene required. Attention to dispensing medication is very important.

There will be an opportunity to spend summers at a cottage 1 hour from Oshawa Vacation and personal time will be arranged.

Pay: $65,000.00-$73,000.00 per year
