**What You’ll Do as an Exam Room Assistant**

You’ll be the right hand to our veterinarians, making sure our patients and their humans receive the best care from the moment they walk in.

**Patient & Client Support**
- Greet clients warmly, escort them to exam rooms, and gather patient histories.
- Update patient weights, and discuss the reason for the visit.
- Counsel clients on preventative care, nutrition, medications, and post-visit instructions.

**Veterinary Assistance**
- Restrain and care for animals during exams and procedures (must be comfortable with dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments).
- Prepare samples, assist with lab tests, take radiographs, and help with treatments.
- Prepare medications and ensure accurate record-keeping and billing.

**Clinic Operations**
- Use Avimark software for records, invoicing, and appointment coordination.
- Support reception and techs with calls, follow-ups, and appointment bookings.
- Maintain clean exam rooms, stock supplies, and follow all safety and infection control protocols.

**What We’re Looking For**
- Previous veterinary assistant experience is an asset, but not required—training can be provided.
- A strong desire to work with animals and provide outstanding client service.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and remain calm under pressure.
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working with animals of all temperaments.

**Job Type**: Full-Time, Permanent

Starting Wage: $18.00/hour

Location: Mississauga/Oakville Border
