Canada Terminal Operator Level 1

**Overview**:
The Chemical Operator 1 (Cadillac Terminal) is responsible for basic equipment handling; monitoring and recording operating data; pulling samples; and housekeeping and grounds keeping as directed.

**Essential Duties**:

- Learn and develop a solid understanding of all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and processes related to the Cadillac Terminal
- Operate Cadillac Terminal equipment, as directed and according to SOPs
- Monitor and record operating data and gauge readings as needed, manually or using computers.
- Pull and run samples as directed
- Load product, coordinating with other team members to ensure product movement
- Clean and maintain equipment as directed; report needed repairs to maintenance.
- Housekeeping (work areas, etc.) and groundskeeping services (weed clearing, etc.) as required
- Begin to cross train on processes and SOPs

**Non-Essential Duties**: Performs all other duties as assigned.

**Minimum Education and Certification**:

- High school diploma or GED

**Minimum Experience**:

- Production, processing, or lab experience preferred

**Physical Requirement**:

- Frequently ascend and descend stairs and ramps
- Substantial hand movements in a repetitive manner
- Sustained use of computers and/or monitors
- Ability to work outside for long periods and work in inclement weather
- Ability to drive at night
- Occasionally required to sit
- Constantly use of hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
- Frequently required to stand, walk, climb and stoop
- Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus
- Required to use technology tools including computers, cell phones, etc.
- Ability to carry, lift, push, or pull objects weighing up to 30-50 pounds
- Able to wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment (PPE)

**Working Environment**:

- Terminal operations
- Outdoors and indoor warehouse environment with adequate ventilation.
- Possible fumes or airborne particles with air contamination (i.e., dust, fume, smoke, etc.) Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided for all employees
- Moderate noise level working in close proximity to the various pieces of equipment
