Maintenance Painter

**Overview**:
Responsible for major painting projects throughout the Park. This seasonal contract role begins early February and ends in November and requires 10 years of related experience.
This position pays $20.00-23.00 per hour.
**How You'll Make A Difference**:
- Responsible for major painting projects as assigned
- Provide direction to contractors and CW Technicians as needed
- Assist full time team with assigning tasks and scheduling projects
- Responsible for preventative maintenance on tools, equipment and Park facilities
- Maintain Canada’s Wonderland high standard of quality workmanship
- Provide guidance and instruction to more junior team members as required
- Mix paint products according to formulas as needed
- Assist with other duties as assigned
**We're Looking For**:
- Minimum 10 years of practical experience painting and drywall repair is required
- Strong communication skills and ability to work from colour blueprints
- High level working with shop tools
- Prior experience mixing paint products a must
- Ability to work independently and as a team as well as meet deadlines
- Must attend on-site safety training
- Must have a reliable source of transportation outside of public transit
- Able to work flexible shifts (starting at 6am) including evenings, on weekends and holidays
- Valid Ontario Driver’s license (class G/G2)
- May require heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Must supply CSA approved steel toe work boots
- Must be comfortable working on ladders and from heights exceeding 10m
- Able to wear personal protective equipment deemed necessary to perform this job safely (may include; gloves, mask and/or face shield, non-slip shoes etc)
