Overview:
**Responsibilities**:

- Complete and/or execute effectively all painting projects and prepare all work surfaces in a timely manner
- Assist with researching, ordering and maintaining supplies, materials and equipment (operate and maintain spray equipment)
- Assist with schedules, contract administration and related paperwork
- Make recommendations for improvements, modification, upgrades and report findings to Supervisor
- Respond to and coordinate all maintenance requests for area
- Follow established protection procedures and maintain a clean work environment
- Erect scaffolding, movable and immovable staging and various rigging to gain access to difficult areas; moves furniture and equipment as necessary.
- Assist Lead with budgets and planning and act as back up support to other Facility areas as needed

Qualifications:
An experienced painter who is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all Park requirements related to painting. Scope of work includes but not necessarily limited to:

- Read blueprints, drawings, technical specifications and material data sheets (MSDS)
- Mixing paint products to achieve desired results and matching painting colors.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum three (3) yrs. experience as a tradesperson in a diverse industrial environment
- Proven skills with facility and specialty painting a must
- Prior experience leading a crew is an asset
- Ability to negotiate, problem solve, trouble shoot and meet deadlines
- Valid Ontario driver’s license
- Excellent organizational and administrative ability
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Prior experience with planning, pricing and sourcing is an asset
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
- Ownership of tools and safety boots a must
- Ability to work shifts, weekends and holidays as required
- Required to meet the physical demands of the job including; weights of up to 23kg, heights of 106m, frequent standing, walking, twisting, reaching, bending, crawling and ability to work with ladders
