**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The **Receptionist** **2** is a part-time three (3) months contract position that provides daily administrative functions and reception duties to support organization’s employees and programs, clients, external partners and agencies and the public, ensuring the efficient operation of the office environment. This role serves as the initial point of contact for children, youth, and families in helping to provide information and navigate clients to the appropriate care services. This position will require the individual to work Monday to Thursday 2:00 pm - 7:30 pm and alternating Fridays 8:30 am - 4:30 pm each week.

**_ Salary range: _**_$24.00 to $28.00 per hour._

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**
- Provide daily coverage for the administration of the ‘what’s up walk-in’ counselling program, ensuring the efficient operation of brief services through processing referrals and coordinating counselling support for clients.
- Arrange the initial psychiatric appointment bookings with the Shoniker Clinic for all clients and serve as the central correspondence between therapists and the Shoniker clinic to connect clients to additional services in the community.
- Manage high-volume clinical documents that are submitted for scanning, naming, and uploading to the TREAT Database, ensuring essential clinical documents are stored virtually in the client’s record for quick and easy retrieval of information.
- Perform daily reception and administrative duties for clients, staff, external partners and the general public, assisting in the efficiency of the office administration.

**THE “MUST HAVES”**

The following education, professional memberships and knowledge are a requirement for this role:

- Completion of Grade 12 education.
- Minimum one year of administrative experience.
- Intermediate computer proficiency in order to use Microsoft Office, Outlook and other computerized systems.
- Possess a combination of clinical perspectives and administrative skills.
- Knowledge of programs and services offered at all levels and interacting with staff at all levels.
- Knowledgeable about the programs and policies governing the ‘what’s up walk-in’ and other procedures for referrals to internal programs.
- Awareness of the role of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace and within the community being served by the position.
- An understanding of Anti-Black Racism, anti-oppressive/anti-racism perspective in the context of the social determinants of health when working with clients and their families.
- Ability to recognize and identify situations where incidents of and imbalance of power and privilege may occur and can result in possible negative impacts for the client.

**THE ‘NICE TO HAVES’**
- Fluency in another language(s), including sign language.
- Awareness of the role of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace and within the community being served by the position.
- An understanding of Anti-Black Racism, anti-oppressive/anti-racism perspective in the context of the social determinants of health when working with clients and their families.
