Golden Equity Properties has been specializing in the acquisition and management of multi-unit residential properties in the Quebec and Ontario markets since 2001.

We are looking for full time Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our growing team in Montreal
- Downtown, to perform a variety of accounting tasks

**What You Will Do**
- Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables’ data
- Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Verify discrepancies by and resolve tenant rent issues
- Perform collections to facilitate payment of rent due by sending reminders and contacting tenants
- Generate reports detailing accounts receivable status
- Manage rent increase for all properties
- Ad hoc projects:

- Tax form completion
- Contract negotiation
- Short term collection

**What You Will Bring to The Role**
- Proven working experience as accounting in general, and accounting receivable associate in real estate or similar business
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
- Strong analytical skills and problem solving
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting or property management software
- Proficiency in English and MS Office, strong written and communication skills
- Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
- High degree accuracy and attention to detail
- BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration an asset
- Real estate or property management experience an asset
