Q Test Inspection Ltd. is on the hunt for a CGSB MT/PT/UT Level 2 Technician to join our team This position will be based out of Red Deer, but may be required to travel to surrounding areas from time to time when needed.

Position’s available for fly in/fly out shift work.

**Location: Red Deer, Alberta**

**Job Description: NDE Inspector**

**Position Summary**:
An NDE Inspector shall have; Suitable experience and high level of competency such that they are judged competent to perform these duties by the Technical Manager. The responsibilities of this role will vary, ranging from site inspections, to technical reports, to in-depth research into preventative strategies.

**Principal Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Assist or perform NDE inspections as per project specifications and methods
- Work in collaboration with Project Manager to discuss NDE deficiencies
- Interpret results of NDE inspection in accordance with applicable codes, standards, specifications or procedures
- Know follow and understand the QMS manual.
- Ensure all work undertaken is within the company’s expertise and the company has the resources to meet the requirements.
- The client’s requirements are adequately defined, any special considerations are understood and clear instructions are issued to staff.
- All work is controlled by regular review and corrective action.
- Completed work is reviewed to confirm that requirements have been met.
- For large jobs there is a written contract which defines the scope.

**UT Duties and Responsibilities**:
Shearwave UT Inspections, corrosion surveys.

**LPI Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Detect surface and slightly subsurface discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials.
- Oversee projects and inspectors. Guide and advise as necessary

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- CGSB MT, LPI Level I, II, III
- SNT MT, LPI Level I, II, III
- Excellent customer service skills, communication and organizational skills with the ability to multi‐ task;
- Excellent computer skills and the ability to use integrity management and database systems;
- Strong administrative and analytical skills.
