Alcan Freight Ltd is seeking an experienced Trucking Dispatcher to join our dynamic team. As a Trucking Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating the efficient transportation of goods while ensuring customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for utilizing loadboards and various resources to optimize routes and manage logistics operations effectively.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Load Planning**: Utilize loadboards **DAT, Loadlink** and other resources to plan and optimize routes for drivers, ensuring efficient and timely deliveries while maximizing load capacity.

**Driver Assignments**: Assign and dispatch drivers to routes, considering factors such as driver availability, hours of service regulations, and customer requirements.

**Communication**: Maintain constant communication with drivers to provide updates, address any issues or delays, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines.

**Customer Service**: Liaise with customers to provide real-time updates on shipments, address concerns, and ensure exceptional service delivery.

**Problem Solving**: Proactively identify and resolve logístical challenges, such as route deviations, traffic delays, or equipment issues, to minimize disruptions.

**Documentation**: Accurately complete and maintain records of dispatch activities, including load information, driver logs, and delivery confirmations.

**Compliance**: Ensure drivers adhere to all safety regulations, including hours of service, weight limits, and other transportation laws.

**Route Optimization**: Continuously monitor and adjust routes as needed to minimize fuel consumption, reduce transit times, and increase overall efficiency.

**Emergency Response**: Act swiftly in response to emergencies, accidents, or breakdowns, coordinating with relevant parties to ensure the safety and well-being of drivers and cargo.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a Trucking Dispatcher in the logistics industry.
- Proficiency in using loadboards**(Loadlink, DAT)** and dispatch software for load planning and route optimization.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance.
- Familiarity with geographic regions and transportation routes.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Availability for flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or relevant certificatio
