This position will report to the Laboratory Supervisor
**Key Responsibilities**
Performing metallographic investigations related to customer complaints and mill investigations including failure analysis. This involves the full scope of such investigations: sectioning samples, mounting, grinding, polishing, etching, viewing microscopically, taking photographs, drawing conclusions and writing reports.
**What you bring to the table**:
- 5 years recent related experience in an office administration role required
**Job Skills and Knowledge**:
- College Diploma in Metallurgical Engineering Technology, a university degree in Metallurgical/Materials Engineering or equivalent.
- Prefer 3 - 7 years’ experience in a Metallurgical Laboratory dealing with ferrous metallography and/or mill environment. Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail and report writing skills.
- A desire to work in a lab environment and an aptitude for lab work.
