Veterinary Receptionist, Client Care
Location: Ottawa, ON
Schedules: Days, Evenings, Weekdays, Weekends
Full or Part-time availability
VCA Canada Ottawa Veterinary Hospital is growing our urgent and emergency care. We are currently expanding our Veterinary Reception, Client Care team
**Responsibilities**:
- Create a warm and welcoming environment for our patients and pet parents
- Admitting and discharging pet patients
- Invoicing/billing; creating estimates, obtaining pet owner confirmation, and processing payments
- General housekeeping duties; cleanliness of reception area, pet holding areas, and common areas
Desired Requirements:
- 1-2+ years of experience as a receptionist in a veterinary clinic or animal shelter
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to answer a multiline phone system and track and schedule appointments effectively.
- Compassionate and professional
- Willingness to learn more regarding; veterinary services, updated medical office procedures and assist the Veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments
