We are looking for a responsible and self-motivated individual to work as the Assistant Store Manager. This new employee will be working alone as well as in a team setting, and so they must be able to work well with others and be self-motivated to do what the store needs. The Assistant Manager’s schedule will typically be evenings and weekends, they will work around the manager’s schedule. The Assistant Manager’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure all staff are following Company Policies & Procedures;
- Delegate tasks to team members;
- Follow-up to ensure team has completed the required tasks for their shift;
- Daily paperwork;
- Execution and team follow-up of promotions;
- Ordering;
- Inventory Control;
- Waste Control;
- Finding other staff members to over shifts in the event of sickness or other absence;
- Assist Store Manager in growing sales;
- Maintenance calls as approved by Store Manager
- Listen and respond to customer complaints (escalating complaint to Store Manager if necessary);
- Training new & existing employees;
- Other duties are directed.

- Ability to follow direction and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner

- Demonstrate ability to work within a team environment
- Demonstrate ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Demonstrate ability to work on till with minor or no cash outages
- Demonstrate ability to complete daily and till paperwork
- Demonstrated ability to delegate and lead one to ten people at a time
Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Night shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Black Creek, BC V9J 1H6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
**Experience**:
- Retail management: 1 year (preferred)
Work Location: In person
Expected start date: 2024-09-02
